Hua Hin Beaches

The reason that Hua Hin, Thailand is called a royal town is that it is where you can find Klaikangwon Palace. This is the summer home of the King of Thailand. Its name roughly translates as “far away from worry” and from the look of the surrounding Hua Hin beaches the name is wholly appropriate. Hua Hin has a nice beach with few scattered rock formations, but generally speaking the beach is clean and the waters great for swimming.

While Hua Hin is home to the Royal family it  has an exclusion zone around it, but one palace that is accessible is Maruekatayawan Palace. Wat Hua Hin

Thailand as a nation is 95 per cent Buddhist. This is often reflected in the number of temples. Hua Hin’s main temple is called Wat Hua Hin or Wat Ampharam and is located in the town centre. If you are visiting a temple it is important to be respectful. You need to dress appropriately and to be on the safe side any offerings in the temple should be given to the monks. Do not touch the statues and always obey any instructions that are given by the monks. In some instances you may need to donate to them in order to do certain activities.
